CẮT BAO QUY ĐẦU (TRẺ SƠ SINH)

Circumcision is a surgical procedure to remove the foreskin of the penis.

Purpose/Benefits
Circumcision may be done to make cleaning the penis easier or to help a thick foreskin retract (if it is not retractable on its own and causes pain with an erection). Circumcision is also done in some cultures due to religious beliefs.

Phimosis is a condition in which the foreskin cannot be pulled back past the glans and this will require circumcision. The foreskin in a baby is not retractable until they are about three years of age, after which it will slowly start to open. By five, the foreskin is usually retractable.

Some slight bleeding may occur after circumcision.
