Q1: What is Split Payment?

A: The hospital has introduced a new payment method for your convenience. It is now possible to use a split payment option for medical bills of 20,000 THB or more. By choosing this method, the system will divide the payment into two transactions, allowing you to pay different amounts with different transaction methods. For example, if your bill is 100,000 THB, you can split it into two payments: 60,000 THB via credit card and 40,000 THB via QR PromptPay.

The Split Payment service can be used for paying medical bills or for making a deposit towards future medical expenses. Once the payment is successfully completed as a deposit, the system will automatically record it and apply it toward your medical costs.

Q2: How to use the Split Payment service via E-Payment Link?

A: You can request to use the E-Payment Link service at the patient finance department, and by providing the following information:
  • Hospital Number (HN)
  • Patient name
  • Phone number and/or email where the E-Payment Link should be sent
The finance officer will verify the information in the system, confirm the amount to be paid, and review the details, before sending the E-Payment Link.

Q4: Will I receive confirmation of payment?

A: Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation via SMS, email, or through the Bumrungrad application. You can also request a deposit receipt from the patient finance department.

Q5: What should I do if my transaction is pending and I would like to resume it?

A: You can return to the original E-Payment Link you received from the hospital to complete the transaction. This payment link is valid for 7 days from the date and time it was sent, which will be indicated in the message you received.

Q6: What should I do if I want to change to a “One-Time Payment" method?

A: If you haven’t made a payment yet, you can adjust the payment amount yourself via the E-Payment Link. If you have already made a partial payment, you can complete the remaining balance with your preferred method. For further changes, you can contact the patient finance department.

Q7: How will any remaining deposit be refunded?

A: After treatment is completed, the finance team will verify the deposit balance and deduct the medical expenses from it. Any remaining deposit will be refunded through the original payment method used.

For example, if Mr. A made a 100,000 THB deposit via E-Payment and split it into two payments (60,000 THB by credit card and 40,000 THB by QR PromptPay), and his total medical expenses are 80,000 THB, the deposit will be deducted first by credit card and then by QR PromptPay. The remaining 20,000 THB will be refunded to Mr. A’s bank account.

Note: If you wish to change the order in which the deposit is deducted, you can inform the finance officer of your preference.
