Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
The factor VIII gene is located on the X chromosome and deficiency is most commonly the result of inheritance of a faulty gene in a sex-linked recessive pattern. Factor VIII deficiency, however, may also be the result of spontaneous mutation, or from acquired deficiency due to the presence of autoantibodies directed against factor VIII. Regardless of cause, the bleeding disorder caused by deficiency of factor VIII is known as Hemophilia A
