Specimen / Container (สิ่งส่งตรวจ/ภาชนะ):
Fresh tissue should be approximately at least 1.0 - 1.5 cm in length and
at least  0.8-1 cm in cross-sectional diameter. Wrap the fresh tissue in saline moistened
gauze (not floating in saline) in sterile container and keep it cool with cold packs or wet ice (not in direct contact) and be brought immediately to surgical pathology. 
*Please notify Surgical Pathology Department (Tel. 14146 or 14144) when planning to submit tissue for muscle biopsy at least 1 day.

Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
A muscle biopsy helps determine the source of the disease process. This ensures the proper treatment.
The doctor may do a muscle biopsy diagnose neuromuscular disorders, infections that affect your muscle, and other abnormalities in your muscle tissue. These are some conditions diagnosed by muscle biopsy. For example; Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Becker muscular dystrophy.
