Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
Eosinophils are often increased in the blood and sputum of patients with asthma, usually in relation to the severity of the process. There is no percentage of eosinophils in sputum diagnostic of asthma, but levels >80% (related to proportion of neutrophils) are very suggestive of asthma or of chronic bronchitis with wheezing. There is evidence of an inverse correlation between the numbers of eosinophils in the circulation and/or sputum and pulmonary function
