On the special occasion of Bumrungrad International Hospital’s 44th anniversary, the hospital continued pushing ahead with the R-SA Bumrungrad Mobile Clinic to help those less fortunate — following in the words of Mr. Chai Sophonpanich: “Business should not only be for profit. It should also benefit society.”
On September 21st, 2024, the R-SA Bumrungrad Mobile Clinic, under the Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation, set off on its 4th trip of the year, visiting six local communities to provide basic medical care. The six communities were the Rong Che Makkasan Community, Nikhom Makkasan Community, Ruenrudee Community, Ma Chim Community, Chalerm Anusorn Community, and Preschool Child Development Center in the Nikhom Makkasan Community.
A large number of medical personnel and volunteers participated in the project. The team was made up of over 80 personnel, including doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and physical therapists from the Medical Clinic, Orthopedics Center, and Children’s Center. Screenings and treatment were provided to patients. Meals and take-home first-aid kits were also distributed. In total, 268 people received care.
Being committed to serving the community, Bumrungrad International Hospital and the Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation will continue to organize these visits.
