The new OPD Instant Clinic at Bumrungrad offers fast and easy medical consultations for general health issues. The clinic is a one-stop service facility from start to finish, where patients can check-in, see the doctor, settle their bill, and get their prescription filled, all in under an hour.

Of course there are times when it is necessary to see a specialist for diagnosing and treating more serious or complex cases. But for minor everyday ailments, vaccinations, medication refills or a doctor’s note, seeing a general practitioner (GP) at the OPD Instant Clinic is highly efficient. The clinic serves patients with non-emergency health issues such as headaches, stomach aches, constipation, flu, and sore throat, and provides medical care for cuts and wounds requiring quick and immediate suturing.

Sometimes prescription medications run out unexpectedly and require an immediate refill. People with chronic conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or high cholesterol can now get their required medication refilled quickly without missing a dose while waiting for an available slot with their specialist. The clinic’s on-site pharmacist does a thorough review to ensure all information is correct and to confirm that the medication refill does not pose any risk to the patient.

The clinic can take care of certain vaccinations for adults, including influenza and shingles vaccinations.

The OPD Instant Clinic has doctors on staff to conduct general health check-ups, including providing a doctor’s note to confirm being free of the 5 diseases (chronic alcoholism, drug addiction, elephantiasis, advanced tuberculosis, leprosy) as required for work permit applications, as well as a doctor’s note required by an employer for sick leave.

The OPD Instant Clinic is located at Bumrungrad’s Emergency Center (ER), which is staffed by medical professionals specializing in emergency medical treatment. Should further investigation or specialist consultation be necessary after visiting the clinic, patients can be referred to one of the 50 specialist centers and clinics located within the modern, state-of-the-art facilities at Bumrungrad International Hospital.
 
Note: Patients must be at least 15 years of age to visit the OPD Instant Clinic.
