The Bumrungrad Spine Institute and Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation, in collaboration with St. Anna Hospital in Germany recently hosted the 57th International Training Course for Full-Endoscopic Operations of the Lumbar, Thoracic, and Cervical Spine.

The workshop is regularly held for both Thai and international surgeons to improve their skills, knowledge, and expertise in full-endoscopic spine surgery, which is a modern, minimally invasive surgical technique. The technique allows for much small incisions, reduced pain, reduced side effects, and less recovery time. 

The event was attended by Bumrungrad’s executive team, led by Mr. Barry Wolfman, Senior Executive Director of Operations, along with the Bumrungrad Spine Institute medical team, led by Verapan Kuansongtham, MD, Director of the Bumrungrad Spine Institute; Prof. Sebastian Ruetten, MD, Head of the Spine Surgery and Pain Therapy Department at St. Anna Hospital, Germany; and Mr. Dirk Goethel, Chief Operating Officer at RIWOspine GmbH, Germany, a leading medical equipment manufacturer. The event attracted over 120 surgeons from more than 10 countries and was held at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai.
