Response and transport teams
Patients may wonder about the emergency response time in a city as vast and busy as Bangkok. If you are in need of urgent medical care but are worried about delays due to traffic, weather, or construction that may prevent you from quickly reaching Bumrungrad International Hospital, you needn’t worry. We are partnered with Erawan and Narenthon EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Centers and they will evacuate you quickly and effectively and take you to the nearest hospital. Our network will confidently get you to an emergency center and, if necessary, later transfer you to Bumrungrad to receive further treatment.
Because time is of the essence in medical emergency situations, Bumrungrad also has several modes of transportation that can quickly relocate our emergency patients if medically necessary. We have a critical care transport fleet that include ambulances and helicopter services with fully licensed medical heliport. Additionally we have a domestic and international
neonatal intensive care (NICU) transport module.
Bumrungrad International Hospital also has an aviation evacuation team that has been trained by the Defense College in emergency medical evacuation techniques. They are equipped with emergency and aviation medicine and are available for medical evacuation 24 hours per day and reach patients across Thailand and Asia.

For those people who aren’t aware, the staff at
Bumrungrad’s Emergency Center takes care of more than just patients with life threatening conditions. During the evening hours when clinics are closed, our staff is also available to treat patients who are suffering with less severe but none-the-less troublesome health complications and ailments.
In the event that your child is experiencing a persistent head cold or if you are suffering from inconvenient stomach cramps that need treatment in the late evening or early morning hours, you are welcome to come to the ER instead of waiting until normal clinical hours to receive care.
